Morgan County Planning Department is charged to uphold the zoning, ordinance, welfare, and safety of the residents in unincorporated county. Morgan County's role is to coordinate and assist in addressing issues of significance. Morgan County will function as a forum for discussion and policy making, and is not a substitute for local government.

Morgan County
Morgan County is located in northern Utah, with Weber, Davis, and Salt Lake Counties located on its western border, and Rich and Summit counties on its eastern border. The total area of Morgan County, Utah is 609.2 square miles, making it the third smallest county in the state. Interstate 84 provides access through the County, with state highways 167, 66, and 65 also providing access. Morgan City is the county seat of Morgan County with a total estimated population of 3,855 people in 2015. Morgan County has a small area of land designated as public land. Publicly owned land, as defined by this resource management plan, makes up 4.1% of the total Morgan County land area
